Venkat joined the Data Management and Analytics team at GIFS as a Full-Stack Developer in the Spring of 2023.

He completed his MSc in Computer Science in 2020 at the University of Saskatchewan. As part of his graduate research work, he developed SynVisio, a popular interactive visualization tool designed for exploring genomic conservation.

Prior to joining GIFS, Venkat worked with a team of genome researchers and biologists as part of the P2IRC project at the University of Saskatchewan and built a diverse set of visualization tools for exploring genomic datasets.
