Nikki was raised in Saskatchewan for most of her life, growing up in the town of Nipawin. She completed an Honour’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) and a Master’s in Biochemistry, Immunology and Microbiology at the USask College of Medicine, studying protein interactions in a rare metabolic disease.

Nikki works as a Laboratory Technician at GIFS, focusing on protocol development for the Engineering Biology Platform and Omics and Precision Analytics Laboratory.
