Jason is an internationally experienced research and innovation leader with more than 20 years in crop improvement, breeding strategy, and large scale R&D operations across Europe, Australia, and North America. He brings deep expertise spanning applied plant breeding, research portfolio leadership, and the successful commercial delivery of agricultural and food innovations.

Most recently, Jason served as Head of Cereals and Pulses Research at Limagrain Field Seeds, where he led global research programs and diverse international teams focused on accelerating genetic gain and strengthening product pipelines through modern breeding technologies.

Jason holds a PhD in plant breeding and genetics from the University of Adelaide and grew up on a grain farm in the Wimmera region of Victoria, Australia. This background shaped his practical, outcomes driven approach to agricultural innovation—an excellent match for the mission and culture of GIFS.
