Evelyn obtained her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture at the Army’s Polytechnic School in Ecuador. After completing her degree, she worked as a research assistant in the Biotechnology Program at the National Institute of Farming Research in Ecuador for about three years. She then moved to Canada and obtained her MSc in Plant Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan (USASK). In the last couple of years, she worked as a research technician for the Crop Physiology Program at USASK where she gained great experience in crop growth and yield response to environmental factors.
She joined GIFS to work for the Plant Improvement Program under the supervision of Dr. Sampath Perumal and Dr. Andrew Sharpe.
