Carla Protsko joined the Business Development team as a Business Lead in February 2022. She is a proud graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, where she completed Bachelor of Sciences (High Honours) and Master of Science degrees in Biochemistry.

Carla’s passion for science, innovation and collaboration has shaped her career.  She has developed strong partnerships with industry leaders, researchers and academics.  She has the distinction of managing the world’s first swine genetics Cell Sorting Flow Cytometry Laboratory (located at Fast Genetics, Saskatoon). She has undertaken several research projects including the analysis of antibiotic targets and enzymatic mechanisms, protein structural analysis using protein crystallography, and the identification swine fertility markers.

Carla loves plants and art. Outside of work, you will find her working tirelessly in her garden, hunting for unique mushrooms along her hike, or painting.
