Angela grew up on a farm North of Swift Current, SK. She completed 2 years of an AgriBusiness degree before summer research work with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada inspired her to further explore biotechnology.
She completed her Honours degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Immunology at the University of Saskatchewan. This was followed by a Master of Science in Vaccinology and Immunotherapeutics, completed at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization. Following her degree, she worked in research and development in the medical cannabis industry.
Angela lends her experience in molecular biology, plant tissue culture, breeding, and phenotyping.
