Seminar: Advancing Discovery with HiFi Sequencing

Join the Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS) at the University of Saskatchewan (USask), Canada’s first Revio PacBio Certified Service Provider, for our latest hybrid seminar exploring applications for PacBio long-read sequencing.

At “Advancing Discovery with HiFi Sequencing” on May 1, we’ll examine the technologies and approaches that are shedding new light into genomes of all sizes and complexities.

  • Celebrate with GIFS
Earlier this year, GIFS was announced as Canada’s first Revio PacBio Certified Service Provider. At this event, we’ll celebrate this distinction and discuss how our team is leveraging PacBio’s Revio instrument and automated workflows to deliver data to researchers and organizations faster than ever.
  • From Genes to Grazing: Reference Genomes for Canada’s Forage Crops
Dr. Andrew Sharpe (PhD), Senior Research Scientist at GIFS, will share highlights from his research developing reference genomes for important Canadian forage crops.
  • Connect
Those who join us in-person are invited to join us for a free lunch and connect with Saskatchewan’s innovation ecosystem, as well as a representative from PacBio.
